07 — 2026 · The project
The brief was clear from the first conversation: simplicity. The client wanted the ability to control every system in the house — lighting, air conditioning, front door, audio — without switching between apps, panels or remotes. The result is a hybrid integration built on KNX for the wired infrastructure and a wireless Home Assistant layer for flexibility, all unified into a single interface accessible from anywhere.
Every light in the villa is individually dimmed — from the cathedral-ceiling living room on the ground floor to the basement cinema and the bedrooms above. That granularity makes it possible to set the right atmosphere in each space independently, and to build automations around daily rhythms. The exterior lights, for instance, switch on automatically each evening at sunset and off at midnight — a small detail that the client asked for and that runs quietly in the background every day.
Climate control follows the same logic. All five zones across the three levels can be adjusted from a single tap — or grouped and set at once when the family arrives home. The outdoor pool area has its own dedicated audio and lighting scenes, allowing the space to shift from a daytime setting to an evening ambiance without any reconfiguration.
The basement cinema, the intercom, the door lock — everything responds from the same app. The golf-facing villa now works the way the client intended from the start: intuitively, and entirely on their terms.
